Helping your family prepare for the ordinary and the extraordinary.

Family preparedness is a family activity.

You may be prepared, but what about your family?

At Parents Prepared, we believe that every member of the family has the right and responsibility to participate in family preparedness, whether it’s packing for an outing to the zoo or navigating a natural disaster. Join us as we research, practice, and review family preparedness from all angles- self defense, emergency food supply, first aid techniques, shelter, navigation, and more.

We will bring our own expertise as parents to engage children (and in-laws) in the essential art of preparedness.

Preparing Yourself

Being prepared starts with the individual. Here, we talk about equipping yourself with self defense skills, knowledge, and more so that the individual can take responsibility for their story.

In the Home

How do you prepare your home? What do you need to prepare for? From food stock to fortifications, we will explore how to make your home as safe as possible.

Outside the Home

Problems don’t just arise when you are in your home next to all of your carefully procured supplies. Outside the home you may encounter any number of situations yet you are often limited by your carrying capacity. Whether you bug out with a car or just your person, you or your entire family, we will look at the essentials.

“There’s no harm in hoping for the best as long as you’re prepared for the worst.”

— Stephen King, Different Seasons
